Floating Leaf Eco-Luxury Retreat - Indonesia
EDITOR'S NOTE: In December 2016, the amazing founders of Bali Floating Leaf invited me to come and enjoy their little oasis in Bali (just 20 minutes from Ubud and a 10 minute walk to the beach). I have to say that I was absolutely blown away with the beauty, organization, and tranquility of this space. I know that the next Bali yoga retreat I plan will definitely include Bali Floating Leaf. I hope you'll reach out to Mikaku and Putu (the founders and owners) and tell them that Brooke from Yoga Travel Tree sent you! Om shanti!

Bali Floating Leaf is the perfect combination of peaceful serenity, delicious and wholesome organic cuisine, luxurious accommodation, and gorgeous vistas every direction you turn.
Located just 20-25 minutes from Ubud and just 5 minutes from a local market, you'll be able to retreat and recharge and get an ample dose of adventure and cultural exploration as well. The team at Bali Floating Leaf will welcome you with smiles, details about your stay, fresh cucumber water, and of course, a foot bath.
If you're a teacher looking for a place to host your next Bali Yoga Retreat, Mikaku and Putu and team will help you create an itinerary that will allow your guests to recharge and delight in the history, culture, and nature of Bali.
Of course, their yoga shala is breath-taking, the pool is relaxing, and the spa is ready for when you need a little extra pampering.
The Yoga Sanctuary, the 2000 square foot space at the top of the retreat center can accommodate large yoga classes, lectures, performances and even weddings. It has been considered “Asia’s best place to practice Yoga” and offers sweeping views of Holy Mt. Agung as well as the Indian Ocean and Bali’s outer laying islands.
Fun fact: They studied the weather patterns for 5 years to make sure they build the open air (but covered) yoga hall to be protected from the rain and sun. So smart!
They have six superior Pool View Rooms Rooms and four Garden Rooms, all created with your comfort and minimal environmental impact in mind. No detail has been overlooked. Each room comes complete with modern luxury and convenience, yet maintains a peaceful Balinese feel. Enjoy spectacular views on the Indian Ocean and holy Mount Agung volcano and the surrounding rice fields.
The food may be one of the most fantastic parts of the Floating Leaf experience! They have an amazing kitchen and dining staff that serves up healthy, nutrient rich, and yes delicious(!) meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They've been called one of the world’s healthiest destinations due to their use of the freshest, organic ingredients available. Menus include traditional Indonesian specialties as well as raw, vegan and vegetarian options.
Bali Floating Leaf Resort is founded and owned by Mikaku and Putu Doliveck who have a combined 30+ years experience in business, Balinese culture, and all things wellness. You can learn more about them here.
