The 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is an introductory course to all things Yoga.

The retreat center is located close enough to town to walk to all conveniences, yet tucked away in a quiet jungle corner to support deep and sacred study.
Cashew Hill Jungle Lodge is a sacred haven three blocks away from the bustle of Puerto Viejo town Center. Enjoy gorgeous ocean views, open air patios and live in close proximity with the creatures and sounds of nature, but close enough to have all the amenities within reach!

HOW TO GET THERE: Puerto Viejo is a 4.5 hour bus or shuttle ride from the San Jose (Alajuela) airport. From town center a taxi can bring you with your luggage three blocks back and up the jungle hill to our cozy jungle lodge training home.

Aside from 24 nights of shared accommodation in close-to-nature jungle lodges, students receive mouth watering vegetarian breakfasts and lunches served daily. Gluten free and vegan options are available by special request.
As much of the food as possible is sourced from on-site organic gardens and locally from the community. This is truly a labor of love that can be seen...and tasted with each serving! Often one of the HIGHLIGHTS of manytired students' experience!

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
AVANI GILBERT: Avani Gilbert is the founder of the Caribe Yoga Academy, an E-RYT 500 with 16 years of yoga experience.
She started exploring yoga as a teenager to counter participation in high school competitive sports. From there she began a lifelong love, journey and endless study along the yogic path. She has participated in yoga teacher trainings throughout the United States and Costa Rica while accumulating over 2000 hours of teaching experience at her yoga studio in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. OM has recently expanded under her direction as “OM Retreat and Training Center at Cashew Hill”; the first of it’s kind in Puerto Viejo. Avani is the lead trainer at the Caribe Yoga Academy as well as a guest teacher for several programs at the Pavones Yoga Center. She is also a practicing Reiki Master Teacher, small business owner, Clarity Breathwork Practitioner, body and lightworker. She emphasizes the importance of Karmic consciousness, CommUNITY, Kula and Seva in her teachings and her practice. Her flows are creative yet alignment based and she enjoys sharing breathwork, vinyasa, yin and restorative practices as well as workshops and trainings.
